Using Adobe XD, I first started with a wireframe and then created a functioning prototype. I worked directly with a developer to create the custom aspects of this website, but I also utilized CSS. The entire backend of the website was designed in a way that would allow the client to edit and add content when needed.
The author wanted to capture the environment he writes about in his new book when people first entered his site. To showcase this environment, a video of the exact location where the book takes place is featured in the home hero to show the empty and vast Colorado plains.
One main challenge of this project was finding a solution to featuring book information in a way that would be seamless & easy to navigate. To accomplish this, a tab system & filters were designed that feature information in an organized & contained manner, without having users bombarded with content.
This project was created and completed while employed as a Graphic Designer at Katy Dwyer Design.
